Terms and Conditions for Participation in the Northern Reading Program

  1. Eligibility: The program is open to all age groups, categorized as Adventurers (grades K-6), Pathfinders (grades 7-12), and Voyagers (adults 19 and up) living and working in the Northern Saskatchewan Administrative District (NSAD.) 
  2. Registration: Participants must register for the program through our official website  By registering, participants agree to abide by the terms and conditions of the program.
  3. Honor System for Logging Reading Minutes:
  1. The reading challenge officially ends at 4:00 PM on February 28th, 2024. Remember, all your reading minutes need to be collected by this time. Our dedicated volunteers will have until the end of the day on March 1st to enter the times they have collected. Please note, any reading done after 4:00 PM on February 28th, 2024  won’t be counted.
  2. Respectful Conduct: Participants are encouraged to engage respectfully with staff, volunteers, and other readers, fostering a supportive reading community.
  3. Data Privacy: Personal information collected during registration will be used solely for the purposes of the Northern Reading Program and will not be shared with third parties without consent.
  4. Content Guidelines: While participants are free to choose their reading materials, we encourage selections that are appropriate for their age and respectful of the diverse community participating in the program.
  5. Changes and Cancellations: The organizers reserve the right to make changes to the program or cancel activities due to unforeseen circumstances. Participants will be notified of any significant changes.
  6. Liability: The organizers are not responsible for any injuries or damages resulting from participation in the program.
  7. Community Standards: Participants are encouraged to contribute positively to the program, whether through discussions, sharing of reading experiences, or other forms of participation.
  8. Feedback and Complaints: Participants are welcome to provide feedback about the program. Any complaints or concerns should be directed to the program coordinators at wanderingwillie1992@gmail.com, or through our survey which will be made available during the final week of the program. 

By registering for the SaskPower Northern Reading Program, participants agree to these terms and conditions, committing to an honest and enjoyable reading experience.
